Many Webmasters find that writing articles, or indeed any kind of copy is a very tedious, boring and time-consuming task.
Many people, faced with the task of collating, researching and writing a 450 - 500 word article would happily opt instead for root-canal work without the aenasthetic, whilst being compelled to listen to a Party Political broadcast ... at full volume !
Wouldn't it be so much easier if we could just use someone else's article, or ideas ?
Well, yes ... but if the article is copyrighted, then any attempt to hijack it would be considered plagiarism, or more simply - stealing - and the consequences are not something you want to contemplate.
However, many authors do not copyright their material, and by either neglecting, or choosing to do this, their material falls into the category of Public Domain.
What this means is that non-copyrighted , or Public Domain material is available to anyone and everyone - and can be used , or abused, without worry.
These Public Domain articles can be used in helping you to write your own articles - you simply take the content, edit it to your own style, or rewrite it as you see fit.
For many, this is considered to be a very effective way to compile articles .
They don't need to spend precious time searching for inspiration and doing research ...all this has already been done.
All that remains is to re-style the original, and modify the content by inserting keywords and key-phrases relevant to their site.
Using Public Domain material can also save you money- you don't need to hire writers to produce copy for your site, and you don't waste a lot of your valuable time ... and time is money!
When you consider how many articles are required to fill say, a year's worth of Ezine articles or Newsletter articles, then those savings can be considerable.

Writing Articles For Submission...without the Hassle!
We have, hopefully, established that articles are an important, no-cost and effective method of attracting visitors to your sales site.
They are crucial to keep you, and your business in the public eye and to ensure a constant stream of traffic to your site.
The problem for many people, however, is that they feel that they don't have the aptitude, or the time for writing,and would much rather spend their time on other aspects of their business.
So, how do we solve this dilemma ?
One way, of course, is to hire a professional writer to do the job for you, but this can sometimes prove to be both expensive and frustrating.
On the positive side, a search on the 'net will reveal freelance writers from all over the world who will, for a reasonable fee, craft an original and informative article for you.
Many of these writers are regarded as experts in writing copy for the internet marketing community, and, provided that you supply them with a reasonable framework of your requirements, will produce an original, well-written article.
Finding a good writer or freelance site is as simple as searching the web using keywords such as 'Article Writers', 'Content Writers', or 'Freelance Writers' , which will offer a long list of sites that offer these services.
The sites with the higher rankings in the search engine listings would obviously be your best bet, as these have worked hard at keeping their content at high quality.
Most writers bidding for your work are happy to provide you with samples of their work, so that you can make an informed decision.
However, even if writing is not your thing, but you would like to retain control of your output, or do not have the patience to be continuously briefing ghost writers, then all is not lost !
